Making Money Requires A System
So you want to make money online? If so, and you are new to this world, prepare to have your head spin. There are a zillion ways to make money online so the first thing you have to guard against is information overload. And this is not easy! It is my goal with this article to help those who are looking to make money online find a system that works, and that will help you achieve your goals and dreams.
I am an artist. I started looking online a year ago with the objective to learn network marketing so I could bring my two dead art websites back to life. Like many creative people, I had created a beautiful website, but it was lost in the internet sea with little traffic and few sales. When the economy weakens, art is often one of the first markets to go since art is considered a “luxury” item and not a necessity. As I was searching for an online business that I could work from home, I realized I would have to learn network marketing. It felt like a huge undertaking, completely foreign, and I was both apprehensive and excited. It dawned on me that if I could learn all this, I would be able to bring my art websites back to life. I could learn how to rebuild my sites to be more search engine friendly, add an opt in for subscribers, newsletters, e-commerce, videos, blogs and most importantly, learn how to drive traffic to them, build a list and make sales. I saw people online using all these methods to sell just about anything. It gave me hope that if I could learn and master these marketing methods, I could sell my beautiful art products online despite a weak economy. I was sick and tired of dealing with galleries. I wanted to sell my art myself, and make it fun!
There were two things I had to do: 1) enroll in an online e-commerce course to teach me how to redesign and rebuild my websites and 2) find a good money making program that would teach me how to market while hopefully making some money at the same time. My focus here is on the latter. Of the two ways to make online money- selling your own products or selling other peoples products- I chose to start with selling other peoples products since I would have my own products later on. I figured if I could learn to do this, I would have that knowledge when it came time to sell my art with my newly optimized websites. But finding the right money making program was a challenge. Like many newbies, I spent hours and days searching, and spending way too much money on e-books and trying one program after another. Most of the e-books were filled with lots of good information, but I didn’t have a clue how to apply any of it. Most of the programs I tried were difficult, so time consuming and left me feeling frustrated. This is not to say all the programs to make money are like this. I have since found some very good ones, but they work for me now mostly because I have learned so much more. But in the beginning I spent many a day with my head just spinning round and round unable to make sense of anything. Even though I was gaining a lot of new knowledge, it all felt scattered like pieces of a puzzle that I couldn’t make fit.
Then one day I came across a program that described itself as a money making system. I suppose I was drawn to the word system in an effort to make sense of all these missing pieces I had accumulated. So I dove in. And I am really glad I did. I was taken by the hand, one step at a time so I didn’t get overwhelmed. The program was primarily training with videos which I really liked being such a visual person. And it started with the basics of websites, hosting, auto-responders and all the base tools for internet marketing. I already knew a lot of these things, but I still found it helpful to start at the beginning. By the time the course got deeper into marketing and advertising, and all the ways to do these, things were beginning to make sense. Soon I realized how vital it is to start at the beginning and master the basics. And this is true for anything we set out to learn. The challenge with internet marketing begins with tremendous information overload, and way too may options available. So it is all too easy to dive into internet marketing, become paralyzed by all the information and options and not have a clue what to do with it all. You will either get so frustrated, overwhelmed and quit….or you will keep accumulating more and more info without being able to take action and focus. At some point, action and focus will be necessary to succeed. The best advice I can give you is to start at the beginning with a good course or system, and build a foundation that will forever serve you. Once you have this, you can explore many of the good money making programs out there, and have a much better feel and understanding of what will be involved and if it suits you. You will now have a better chance of starting at the beginning of a program, and following through to the end. And you just might find, in having learned the basics of internet marketing, that you now have what it takes to build your own online business and sell your own products.
